三频Wi-Fi 6如何赋能更好的 “新常态”?

在过去的几个月里,人们逐渐将自己的工作、学业,甚至整个社交活动转移到了网上,家庭无线网络也由此从值得拥有的选择变成必不可少的需求。无论是为了保证下一季度的营收而开展线上活动,还是在孩子生病时与儿科医生的关键视频通话,亦或是参与期末考试前的最后一堂在线课程,这一切都需要网络连接的稳定和速度得到保障,不容出现任何差错。

网络使用需求的激增使得家庭网络系统不堪重负,而这一情况势必将在很长一段时间内成为重要趋势。不断增加的设备数量、集中使用时网络卡顿和分散使用时网络闲置等诸多问题常常并存,以及对高分辨率内容不断激增的需求等,都在彻底改变家庭网络的发展前景,而高通协助开创的无线网络系统mesh Wi-Fi则是能够满足当前需求的完美解决方案。如今,“新常态”也在经历巨大变革,总体而言,新技术的运用使上游流量增长了300%, Zoom平台的视频通话数量较往常增加了30倍左右,还有一家运营商网络上的协作工具使用量增长了约1200%。

这一转变终将到来,未雨绸缪,高通提出了一种长期性的终极解决方案:支持6GHz新频段的Wi-Fi 6E平台。Wi-Fi 6E平台有助于用户充分享受6GHz频段Wi-Fi带来的高速度、大容量、低时延等使用体验,在密集拥挤的网络环境中依然能提供始终一致的高性能表现,这将对智能手机的发展、企业网络的构建以及其他对网络速度要求甚高的领域产生深远影响。但是,它能够为至关重要的家庭网络连接提供保证吗?

那是自然。

简单来说,网状Wi-Fi系统(Mesh)使用一组专用的射频信号来连接你家中的终端,在双频的Mesh当中,射频既要服务于家中所有的移动设备,同时也要起到回传的作用,当它连接更多子节点或设备时,回传的时间就会有限,某种程度上来讲,这样会牺牲整体网络的速度。到目前为止,即使传输在5GHz频段,其性能优于传统路由器,但仍不免受到网络拥堵问题的困扰。而Wi-Fi 6E平台支持三频工作,新扩展的6GHz频段大大加快了传输速度,能够使用户在5GHz频段运行的设备不再出现卡顿现象,发挥最佳性能,同时以更加快速稳定的网络连接实现回传的优化和升级。

Qualcomm最近宣布推出第二代Qualcomm Networking Pro系列平台,对三频Wi-Fi 6在各层级的应用提供支持,并预计今年发布相关商用产品。因此,无论是为了开发产品,还是为了解决新的关键需求而针对下一代家庭网络探索必要的功能,都离不开三频Wi-Fi 6的支持。如今,Qualcomm已做好充分准备,迎接三频Wi-Fi 6时代的到来。
